European Club Wants To Sign Mason Greenwood

Mason Greenwood's future at Manchester United continues to be clouded in uncertainty, with the latest reports suggesting that the young forward could be set for a surprise move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

The Red Devils have suspended Greenwood since his arrest in January last year, and he is not expected to return for the remainder of the 2022/23 season as the club conducts its own internal investigation into the matter. However, it seems Fenerbahce are willing to take the risk of signing the talented striker, who they believe could be the key to turning around their fortunes in the Super Lig.

According to Fotospor, the Istanbul-based club is keen on securing the services of the 21-year-old as they look to end their nine-year wait for the Super Lig title. While Greenwood was cleared of all charges by the Crown Prosecution Service earlier this month, he remains the subject of United's internal investigation into allegations of attempted rape, assault, and coercive and controlling behavior that led to his arrest last year.

The potential move could be complicated by reports suggesting that some of Greenwood's United teammates are not keen to have him back at the club, regardless of the outcome of the investigation. Nevertheless, if the England international does make the move to Turkey, he will join a list of other English stars who have plied their trade in the Eastern European nation, including Daniel Sturridge, Dele Alli, and Aaron Lennon.
