Chiefs reopen discussions with Bafana Star

Amakhosi are reportedly in talks to sign Pule Mmodi during the upcoming January transfer window, according to a recent report.

New sources claim that the Glamour Boys want to sign Mmodi in the coming year as a result of Amakhosi's choice to delay the agreement before the start of the season.

PULE MMODI TO KAIZER CHIEFS?

“Mmodi is still targeted in Gauteng. The talks have resumed to sign him in January,” a source told FARPost.

“There’s the pressure of losing him for free come end of the season, so they will consider selling him in January, [to Chiefs],” the source added.

Meanwhile, the report also added a comment from Arrows, who deny the on-going talks.

“There is no such. Whoever told you that was misleading you. The club will communicate once there is something to say about matters of the team,” Arrows’ media officer Comfort Thusi said.

So who should we believe? Well, maybe the anonymous source. Clubs have also denied talks until an official announcement is made.

While Kgaogelo Sekgota had a stellar start to the season, coach Zwane was quick to note that Chiefs were not enjoying enough supply of goals and assists from the right-wing.

Feeling disappointed by the failed move to Naturena, the 29-year-old from Theunissen, Free State, responded with four goals and one assist in 13 games since August.
