Kaizer Chiefs mean business, with a fourth sought-after target said to be firmly in their sights for next season.
After a season of mixed results, it’s understandable that Chiefs have been hard at work behind the scenes to identify which players they need to bring to Naturena for next season, particularly considering several players are linked with exits.
If the latest reports are anything to go by, Amakhosi are making some big moves in the player recruitment department, and they’re now apparently set to table an offer for 23-year-old AmaZulu midfielder Siphesihle Maduna.
Maduna, who played youth football with Lamontville Golden Arrows between 2012 and 2014, before joining AmaZulu’s youth team in 2016, has quickly become a key member of the senior team for the KZN side.
Kaizer Chiefs are ready to make an offer for Maduna again,” a source told KickOff.com.
“I believe AmaZulu will accept the offer this time around.”
This talk comes on the hot heels of an article from leading SABC Sport journalist Mazola Molefe, who has reported that Chiefs have successfully secured the services of sought-after TS Galaxy star Given Msimango on a blockbuster four-year deal.
Last year it was reported that Msimango had been sounded out by Chiefs as they considered their player options for this season, but ultimately a move never materialised.
At a time when TS Galaxy are facing financial issues, though, there has been increasing talk that the club would accept the sale of their club captain, and it now appears that Chiefs have won the race for his signature at a time when Orlando Pirates were also said to be monitoring Msimango.
According to the report, impeccable sources have revealed that the 25-year-old is understood to have put pen to paper, and will head to Naturena from July on a long-term deal.
