Kaizer Chiefs defender Luke Fleurs has tragically passed away after being shot during a hijacking on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old joined Chiefs in October after leaving SuperSport United and despite not making his debut yet, was still considered one of the brightest defensive prospects in South African football.
A family member confirmed to iDiski Times on Wednesday evening that the former Ubuntu Academy development product passed on today after being shot during a hijacking.
We at iDiski Times extend our heartfelt condolences to the Fleurs family, Kaizer Chiefs and those closest to Luke during this incredibly challenging moment.
