Kaizer Chiefs have not given up on bringing Pitso Mosimane to Naturena. In fact, they are still very interesting in signing Africa’s top coach.
Mosimane has been linked with a move to Amakhosi for several seasons now. Moreover, this happens whenever he is becomes a free agent.
However, to date none of these rumours have materialized with Amakhosi management yet to contact Mosimane regarding the job. Now, he has been strongly linked with a return to Saudi Arabia but this has not deterred the Soweto giants interest in Jingles.
MOSIMANE TO CHIEFS IS ALIVE AND WELL
Chiefs are very interested in having Mosimane take over as head coach, according to recent reports.
“It’s true the club is looking at other coaches who could possibly take over from Cavin (Johnson) but coach Pitso (Mosimane) is on top of the list. It doesn’t really matter what’s going on somewhere else,” the Siya source reported on SoccerLaduma.
Therefore, he is their priority ahead of any other coaches.
In fact, they want him to replace Cavin Johnson
POTENTIAL SAUDI RETURN WON’T DETER AMAKHOSI INTEREST
Meaning, Mosimane possible return to Saudi Arabia could still happen which is frustrating because they intended on bringing Mosimane in at the end of the season but they do still see him as the long-term replacement.
“They have kept him (Mosimane) as the first priority to eventually take over the coaching reigns at Chiefs. Yes, these reports of him being wanted again in Saudi Arabia could be disturbing because they were looking forward to having him mainly at the end of the season,” he added.
