Due to Kaizer Chiefs’ addition of players ahead of the 2022–2023 season, the club’s list of most valued players has undergone some adjustments.
Here’s a look at the top five at the Soweto giants.
KAIZER CHIEFS’ FIVE MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS
5. Sifiso Hlanti – R11.4 million
The 32-year-old left-footer has made five appearances in all competitions since the season.
Hlanti joined Amakhosi from Swallows in 2021 and in total he has made 13 appearances at the club.
4. Siyethemba Sithebe – R13.6 million
Sithebe joined the Glamour Boys as a free agent after parting ways with AmaZulu before the start of this campaign.
He was quick to earn the trust of coach Arthur Zwane and has become a regular in midfield.
The Newcastle-born midfielder has made 10 appearances in all competitions so far.
3. Zitha Kwinika – R13.6 million
Kwinika reunited with his childhood club at the beginning of the season, joining from Stellenbosch FC.
He was part of the club’s development teams at a young age and was promoted in 2014 before he left to sign for Chippa United in 2016.
Since rejoining the Soweto giants, the 28-year-old has made 10 appearances in all competitions.
2. Khama Billiat – R21.1 million
Billiat hasn’t reached his peak since becoming a Glamour Boy in 2018 when he made a shock switch from Mamelodi Sundowns as a free agent.
The 32-year-old had a nasty start to the 2022/23 season before he suffered an injury that has kept him out for four games.
He has made 121 appearances and scored 24 goals during his stay at Naturena.
1. Keagan Dolly – R22.3 million
Dolly is the most valuable player for Amakhosi. Despite having failed to perform at his best since he started wearing Gold and Black, he has boosted the club particularly when it comes to scoring and creating goals.
The former Sundowns winger has found the back of the net on 10 occasions and provided five assists in the 38 appearances he has made in Chiefs colours.
