Amidst the rumours, Richarlison has offered himself to play for Real Madrid. The Brazilian forward admitted that he would like to wear the ‘Merengues’ jersey: “Every player would like to, it’s the best club in the world…. It’s everyone’s dream”.
Tottenham’s Richarlison gave a press conference from the Brazilian national team’s training camp and surprised everyone when he admitted that he would like to wear the Real Madrid jersey, who are currently looking for a striker.
“Every player wants to wear the Real Madrid jersey, the biggest club in the world. But I have a club, I have a contract. I have to show them why they bought me. It was a bad season, also because of injuries. But it’s every player’s dream,” said the striker.
Richarlison also discussed his relationship with Carlo Ancelotti, who is currently at the ‘Merengues’, but is one of the candidates to take the reins of the Brazil national team after the departure of Tite.
“I talk to him a lot. It’s a friendship for life. Ancelotti has won everything in Europe. If he comes, I’m sure he will help us a lot, we will fight for all the titles. He helped me a lot at Everton, I became a star under him. He took me home after every game. I felt like his son,” he added.
Richarlison, for the moment, does not seem to be a candidate to replace Karim Benzema and become Real Madrid’s new striker. Kylian Mbappe, in dispute with Paris Saint-Germain, remains the board’s favourite.
