According to information that has just reached the media, Kaizer Chiefs may be planning to split ways with one of their stalwart defenders in January.
According to The South African, Eric Mathoho could be shown an exit door at the Glamour boys in the upcoming transfer window or at the end of the season.
Mathoho fall out-of-favour at Amakhosi last season while the club was still managed by Stuart Baxter. The departure of Stuart Baxter did not make things easier for the Limpopo born star.
When a source spoke to the media, he revealed that there is no longer a space for Tower at the centre-back position now. New players made things even more complicated for Mathoho.
A source further stated that even if he does not leave in January, however, in June he is definitely leaving the club.
The last time Eric Mathoho played a full match for Amakhosi was when they played against Orlando Pirates on the 5th of March.
