Kaizer Chiefs have been long time admirers of Kobamelo Kodisang as he has been playing his football overseas.

As Chiefs feel that he might be an ideal star that they need at Naturena which will command the midfield and makes it difficult for the opponents to a field’s day.

It was believed that Amakhosi were working on a lucrative offer for Kodisang which would make him leave Portuguese Primeira Liga side SC Braga. However, it seems like the youngster will be staying in Portugal and Amakhosi will miss out on his services.

“South African winger Kobamelo Kodisang will be staying with Portuguese Primeira Liga side SC Braga who have exercised their option to extend the player’s contract for another two years. Kodi will now be fighting for his place in the senior team next season,”

Chiefs transfer target has been playing the Braga B-side hoping to get a chance to play in the senior team. As he knows that he has the skill and talent to compete for his position at higher level.

It’s just unfortunate that he couldn’t win the technical team’s vote of confidence. According to reports, Kodisang has agreed to remain with Braga as it’s believed that they still want to see more of him in the team.

Then the recent reports stated that they want to send him on a season-long loan and the first team that popped up was Chiefs. This means that he could be on his way to Naturena if the talks with Braga materialise. Who knows he could even become their permanent player in the longer run.
